Pilates

If you want to tone up all over (and prefer a more low-key sweat session), then Pilates is for you. These classes consist of a series of controlled movements that may be done on a Pilates machine or on the floor. The focus is on resistance training and strengthening the core muscles including the six-pack rectus abdominis, the waist-defining obliques, and the deep transversus abdominis, which is often missed in traditional ab workouts. In addition to strengthening your core, Pilates is a great way to build muscle without bulking up.
